Overview

The Quality Improvement Specialist oversees and implements healthcare quality improvement initiatives and education programs specific to the Provider Network, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

In Short

  • Implement key quality strategies and manage provider interventions.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of quality activities.
  • Write narrative reports interpreting regulatory specifications.
  • Create and manage documentation for quality improvement functions.
  • Lead quality improvement activities and discussions.
  • Evaluate project activities to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Report gaps in processes to management.
  • Travel may be required up to 80% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in healthcare, with 1 year in quality improvement.
  • Solid business writing experience.
  • Operational knowledge of Excel and Visio.
  • Preferred experience in Medicare and Medicaid.
