The Medical Dosimetrist is an integral member of the radiation oncology team, responsible for creating and communicating treatment plans for cancer patients while ensuring safety and accuracy in radiation therapy.

Requirements

  • Board eligible for MDCB exam or 20 years of experience.
  • West Virginia state criminal background check.
  • Three years of medical dosimetry experience preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited medical dosimetry program.
  • Current certification by MDCB is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and radiation therapy techniques.
  • Ability to perform calculations for accurate dose delivery.
  • Proficiency in image registration and data set utilization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff.
