Overview

The Medical Dosimetrist is a critical member of the radiation oncology team responsible for designing treatment plans and performing calculations for radiation therapy based on oncologist prescriptions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in physical or biological sciences.
  • Master’s Degree in medical dosimetry preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Eligibility for Medical Dosimetry Certification required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience as a Radiation Therapist desirable.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy desirable.
  • Strong mathematical skills for treatment planning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
