Field Services Technician Intern - Remote

Overview

This is a summer internship opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in field services related to calibration and maintenance of monitoring units in the Greater Boston area.

In Short

• Summer internship from June through August 2025.
• Requires 80% travel throughout the Greater Boston area.
• Perform in-field installation, calibration, and maintenance of monitoring units.
• Follow health and safety protocols and document all field activities.
• Provide excellent customer service for SmartSense clients.
• Use small hand tools for sensor repairs and troubleshooting.
• Communicate unresolved issues in a timely manner.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in a science or technology field.
• Associate’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in an environmental or industrial hygiene laboratory preferred.
• Proficient English language skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to travel locally up to 80% of the time.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull upwards of 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
