At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.

The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

In Short

• Oversee the development of software for daily delivery operations.
• Lead a highly technical software engineering team.
• Contribute to coding, designing, and reviewing code.
• Prioritize work in collaboration with product and operations teams.
• Ensure systems are performant and reliable for nationwide expansion.
• Mentor frontend and backend engineers and establish best practices.
• Own the Operations Tools Suite and ensure a world-class user experience.
• Champion code quality and continuous integration/deployment.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Experience leading small teams of Sr. and/or Staff level full-stack Software Engineers.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on coding experience and ability to mentor team members.
• 4+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Fluency in JavaScript, especially React or Vue.js.
• Backend experience with Python and Elixir.
