Overview

The Director of Engineering Operations role is a senior-level, full-time, permanent position responsible for providing strategic leadership to the company by working with management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.

In Short

  • Participate in the development of the company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Enhance, develop, implement and/or enforce policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Improve project budgeting process through education of project managers and executive team.
  • Act as an advisor from the financial perspective on contracts.
  • Evaluate operations team for continual improvement.
  • Monitor KPI’s set forth by the company managing partners.
  • Create/review engineering estimates and proposals.
  • Perform internal quality audits and engineering design reviews.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards and policies.
  • Direct staff and teams to ensure quality frameworks are implemented.

Requirements

  • A progressive career in a technical field including project management.
  • Excellent technical communication and detail-oriented work practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) required.
  • 8+ years of experience in relay protection and control design of high voltage substations.
  • 8+ years of experience in executive level management.
  • Experience in managing a small business preferred.
