Protection & Controls Substation Project Manager - Remote

Overview

The Protection & Controls Substation Project Manager role is a mid-senior level, full-time, permanent position that is fully-remote. This role supports a portfolio of engineering projects across multiple clients and ensures the successful execution of each project on time, on scope, and on budget.

In Short

• Manage teams of engineers, designers, and drafters for high voltage protection and control systems.
• Direct projects from pre-proposal through construction to completion.
• Create and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Communicate project progress and roadblocks to stakeholders.
• Align project schedules with resource needs.
• Order necessary materials for engineering projects.
• Report project financials and health metrics weekly.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams.
• Support contract creation and negotiation.
• Domestic travel up to 25% required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Project Management Certification preferred.
• Experience in project management for Power Transmission and Distribution assets.
• Strong organizational skills and project workflow management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• 2+ years experience managing high voltage substation projects.
• Protection & Controls engineering design experience preferred.
• Professional Engineering License preferred.
