SCADA/Relay Settings Engineer III - Remote

Overview

The SCADA/Relay Settings Engineer III role is a mid-level, full-time, permanent position that is fully remote. This position involves working with experienced electrical engineers and guiding entry-level engineers in the design and configuration of protection, automation, and SCADA systems.

In Short

• Lead the development and approval of protective relay settings using SEL relays.
• Configure complex SELogic equations and automation logic.
• Integrate Orion I/O and automation devices.
• Perform short-circuit, protection coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Engineer SCADA point mapping and communications.
• Design and support SEL RTAC-based automation.
• Configure various communication protocols.
• Coordinate SCADA database development.
• Develop HMI screens for substation control.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) designation required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in relay protection and control design.
• Strong understanding of substation project lifecycle.
• Excellent technical communication skills.
• High comfort level with teaching and mentoring.
