Overview

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving new customers and business growth for Serán’s customer accounts, developing relationships and serving as the lead point of contact for client matters.

In Short

  • Generate new leads and opportunities leveraging Serán’s network.
  • Build solid, trusting relationships with clients.
  • Participate in client visits and trade shows as required.
  • Manage existing pipeline and new business opportunities.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve customer results.
  • Contribute to proposals and presentations for new business.
  • Negotiate agreements with BD and legal leadership.
  • Resolve client issues and anticipate improvements.
  • Identify market trends and build a sales pipeline.
  • Support broader BD team in developing new service offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5-10+ years of pharmaceutical drug product development experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with CRM and Office software.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience in a client-facing capacity preferred.
  • Technical background with a desire to move into commercial role encouraged.
