In Short

  • Identify target agencies and key opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Work with Federal focused VARs, distributors and SIs to develop relationships and commitment for mutual business development.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and federal procurement policies to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of compelling proposals, bids, and RFP responses.
  • Meet and exceed federal sales revenue targets.
  • Implement effective sales processes and utilize tools to monitor and report on sales performance and pipeline.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment with federal sales objectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years minimum experience in federal sales into Civilian government sector, with a focus on cybersecurity software solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the federal sector.
  • Strong sales methodology and forecasting skills (MEDDPICC, etc).
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior government officials and key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
