Senior Accountant – India Operations - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team in India. Reporting to the Manager, International Finance. The candidate will require a strong all-around knowledge of payroll, accounting, and finance. As this position is an independent contributor, the successful candidate will be a confident independent worker with the ability to manage time effectively. Candidates will also need to be flexible to enable collaboration with global teams across multiple time zones. Initially, the role will be remote but will transition to working from our new Hyderabad office once it is operational.

In Short

• Manage day-to-day financial operations for the India entity.
• Calculate and process payroll.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with external consultants and auditors.
• Provide support for global Finance/Accounting efforts.
• Function as a trusted advisor to local and global stakeholders.
• Assist with financial setup during the office establishment phase.
• Work remotely until the Hyderabad office is operational.
• Support the setup of financial processes for the India office.
• Provide insights to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax laws.
• Experience with financial software (preferably NetSuite).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
