Overview

The Regional Lands Manager- SW will be responsible for implementing land conservation and public access projects primarily in CO, UT, NV, AZ, CA, & NM to advance the organization’s mission.

In Short

  • Responsible for implementing land conservation and public access projects.
  • Develop and close fee title acquisitions and conservation easements.
  • Network with public land agencies and conservation organizations.
  • Integrate habitat and wildlife management into projects.
  • Maintain relationships with land management organizations.
  • Advocate for local land and agency commission efforts.
  • Manage project files and communications.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility through budget management.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel extensively for fieldwork and meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural resources or related field.
  • Minimum of five years in real estate or wildlife conservation.
  • Knowledge of land acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of wildlife ecology and habitat management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and GIS applications.
  • Ability to manage budgets and funding sources.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Experience in project management and negotiations.
