Overview

The Regional Lands Manager-NW will be responsible for implementing land conservation and public access projects primarily in Montana and Wyoming to advance the organization’s mission.

In Short

  • Responsible for land conservation and public access projects in Montana and Wyoming.
  • Develop and close fee title acquisitions and conservation easements.
  • Network with public land agencies and conservation organizations.
  • Integrate habitat and wildlife management activities into projects.
  • Maintain relationships with land management organizations.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility through budgets and negotiations.
  • Assist with local land and agency commission efforts.
  • Work independently and as a team player.
  • Travel extensively for fieldwork and meetings.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Montana or Wyoming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural resources or related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in real estate, wildlife conservation, or land management.
  • Strong knowledge of wildlife ecology and habitat management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and develop projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and GIS applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with negotiation and project management.
  • Ability to represent the organization professionally.
