Overview

As a Principal Concept Engineer at RobCo, you will be responsible for raising the technical quality and maturity of automation concepts across the Pre-Sales organization, working on complex automation projects and setting benchmarks for automation standards.

In Short

• Design flagship automation concepts.
• Own complex automation concepts from customer requirements to complete concept packages.
• Set technical standards for automation concepts.
• Build and maintain gold-standard reference cells.
• Review and challenge concepts from other engineers.
• Drive methodology improvements in automation design.
• Run design reviews and technical workshops.
• Coach Concept Engineers through hands-on feedback.
• Work on-site in Munich or remotely from anywhere in Germany.
• Fluent in German and professional English required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in automation engineering or robotics.
• Proven experience designing complete automation cells.
• Deep understanding of industrial robotics and automation components.
• Strong technical judgment and risk assessment skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• A focus on quality, robustness, and scalability.
