Resource Innovations is seeking an Accounting Director of Revenue to join our growing team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated an Accounting Director of Revenue with a strong background in revenue recognition and project-based accounting to join our dynamic team. As an Accounting Director of Revenue, you will manage the revenue recognition and accounting processes associated with project-based contracts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic oversight for project accounting and financial reporting. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, legal, and senior management, to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition and reporting for complex projects.

In Short

• Oversee the accounting for revenue recognition in compliance with relevant standards.
• Ensure proper classification of revenues, unbilled receivables, and deferred revenues.
• Prepare and review detailed financial reports on project revenues.
• Oversee the work of the project accounting team.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for revenue-related inquiries.
• Establish and maintain internal controls over revenue recognition processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate revenue recognition processes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the project accounting team.
• Conduct performance evaluations and set goals for team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong background in revenue recognition and project-based accounting.
• Experience with ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
• Proven ability to prepare and analyze financial reports.
• Leadership experience in managing accounting teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with internal controls and audit processes.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
