Director of Revenue Accounting - Remote

Overview

As the Director of Revenue Accounting at Vanta, you will play a critical role in managing Order-to-Cash from billing, collections, and revenue recognition by implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with ASC 606.

In Short

• Oversee and ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and other relevant standards in all revenue accounting activities.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities related to revenue, billing, and collections.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing revenue accounting, billing and collections team.
• Drive process improvements to optimize revenue accounting and billing workflows.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for revenue accounting in external and internal audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a CPA.
• 10+ years of experience with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with financial software systems (Netsuite) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
