Field Service Technician I - Solar Traveler - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician I will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities, including preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.

• Assist senior technicians with solar facility maintenance.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar assets.
• Conduct troubleshooting of AC and DC power systems.
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Manage site inventory and follow safety protocols.
• Interface with project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies.
• Drive company vehicles in accordance with laws and policies.
• Attend work regularly and punctually.

Requirements

• High school/GED required.
• 1+ years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical power systems and circuit theory.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work safely and follow safety regulations.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to reside within 60 miles of the work site.
• Domestic travel required (76-100%).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
