Field Service Technician II - Solar - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician II – Solar - Traveler will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.

• Assist with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar panels and equipment.
• Troubleshoot low voltage DC and medium voltage AC power systems.
• Conduct maintenance using hand tools and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Follow safety plans and adhere to safety practices.
• Interface with project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Represent the company professionally to stakeholders.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Domestic travel required.

Requirements

• High school/GED required, Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of related maintenance experience required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety regulations.
• Certifications (OSHA 10/30, FAA Part 107) preferred.
• Ability to work with hand tools and electrical equipment.
• Must reside within 60 miles of a major airport.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Functional competencies include collaboration and attention to detail.
• Regular attendance and punctuality required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols.
