Wind Turbine Technician - Remote

Overview

The Wind Turbine Technician will support the Turbine O&M Team in the delivery of specific projects, providing technical assistance to help resolve ongoing issues and implement improvements.

In Short

• Support the Turbine O&M Team in project delivery.
• Provide technical assistance for ongoing issues.
• Implement improvements in turbine operations.
• Requires a technical background in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Experience with Vestas/Gamesa and/or Siemens wind turbines is valued.
• Communicate effectively with customers at site level.
• Prepare Risk Assessments and Method statements.
• Travel within the UK & Ireland may be necessary.
• Training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Focus on Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental awareness.

Requirements

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Qualification (Minimum Level 3 NVQ).
• Experience in Wind Turbine maintenance.
• Knowledge of gearbox inspections and specialized equipment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in managing heavy lifting and working at heights.
• Ability to conduct technical audits and assessments.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Team leadership and coordination of subcontractors.
• H&S Awareness (RA, CoSSH, MS).
