Wind Hub Technician - Remote

Overview

The Wind Hub Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the optimal function and output of wind sites by performing daily turbine operations, maintenance, and safety checks.

In Short

• Work with site leadership to meet contractual obligations.
• Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of turbine components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
• Document work using computer-based reporting procedures.
• Respond to remote operations center as needed.
• Work in various environments including industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and on-call as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Climb towers up to 300 feet daily.
• Understand electrical schematic drawings and technical manuals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Wind Technician or Wind Mechanic.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical field is desired.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience with heavy equipment and hydraulic power tools.
• Ability to work with diverse personnel.
• Must pass a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Willingness to work in a variety of environments.
• Meet specified manufacturer weight limits.
