Wind Hub Technician - Remote

Overview

The Wind Hub Technician is responsible for maintaining optimal function and output at wind sites by performing turbine operations, maintenance, safety, quality control, and warranty repairs.

In Short

• Execute contractual obligations per customer requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of turbine parts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
• Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting.
• Work with site leadership and respond to remote operations center.
• Handle repetitive weight and climb towers up to 300 feet.
• Understand electrical schematic drawings and technical manuals.
• Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in various environments including industrial facilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Wind Technician or similar role.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Basic computer skills and passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with heavy equipment and hydraulic tools.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical field preferred.
• Ability to take initiative and work without supervision.
• Wind turbine experience is a plus.
