Overview

Renew Home is seeking an experienced Regulatory and Compliance Counsel to provide sound, practical and actionable legal advice and business leadership as part of our mission to revolutionize the energy industry.

In Short

• Support energy regulatory compliance.
• Counsel on the company’s participation in energy and capacity markets.
• Advise on application of the rules of ISO/RTOs, FERC, and state PUC/PSCs.
• Work dynamically across compliance workstreams with minimal supervision.
• Provide legal review and advice across all departments and functions.
• Manage specialist outside counsel and subject matter experts.
• Implement compliance frameworks and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Reports to the head of Legal.
• Acts as a key member of the company’s legal team.
• Passionate about fighting climate change and scaling sustainable solutions.

Requirements

• Business-forward in-house energy lawyer with leadership skills.
• Experience with clean energy products and services.
• Experience negotiating resource adequacy or other supply contracts.
• Experience preparing comments to energy regulatory agencies.
