Staff Product Designer - Design System - Remote

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make an impact in the global employment space as a Staff Product Designer, Design System joining our Product Design team. We’re a 40+ multi-disciplinary team of designers, researchers and creatives passionate about crafting the experiences and touch-points that help Remote scale successfully and help customers attract, hire, manage and pay anyone, anywhere.

In Short

• Lead design for Remote’s design system, Norma.
• Contribute to nearby product team whose scope overlaps with the design system.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to build scalable, polished components.
• Lead the maintenance, governance and evolution of the design system.
• Develop materials and lead initiatives to drive adoption of the design system.
• Create strategies for improvement and scaling the design system.
• Improve existing design system components and evolve visual design language.
• Support the organization through async troubleshooting and collaboration.
• Champion usability, scalability and accessibility in all aspects of the design system.
• Work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience designing and evolving a design system.
• Impressive portfolio showcasing product design and design systems work.
• Strong communication skills to build narratives around design work.
• Ability to autonomously take ownership of design for complex domains.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in B2B SaaS solutions is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment is a plus.
