Managing Counsel, Employment - Remote

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global HR-tech space as Managing Counsel, Employment (Individual Contributor), joining our Legal Team. We are looking for a talented and eager employment lawyer, who is interested in helping with our team’s mission, namely: to deliver pragmatic and innovative legal solutions for Remote’s products and stakeholders, while protecting Remote from unacceptable risk.

In Short

• Support Employee Lifecycle and People teams in managing internal and external employees.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws across jurisdictions.
• Assist teams with expanding into new territories.
• Advise on a wide range of employment law issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to manage risks and align with business objectives.
• Contribute to the Legal Team's knowledge base.
• Master employment law and contracts for specific regions.
• Identify company-wide employment law issues and implement solutions.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Fluent in English and French.

Requirements

• Qualified French lawyer (mandatory).
• Experience in advisory and contentious employment law.
• Passionate about HR tech products.
• Previous in-house experience in HR Tech, IT or SAAS is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Familiar with modern business and legal tools.
• Eager to learn about different legal systems.
• Remote work experience is a plus.
