Compliance Officer - North America - Remote

Overview

In Short

• Ensure compliance with Canadian MSB regulations and guidance.
• Draft policies for customer due diligence and transaction monitoring.
• Lead AML/CTF audits for Canadian and North American operations.
• Maintain relevant compliance policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports for regulatory authorities.
• Conduct effectiveness reviews of compliance controls.
• Develop metrics for ongoing monitoring of compliance function.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Work collaboratively with external advisors.
• Support the Financial Services subgroup with compliance policies.

Requirements

• Experience in Financial Crime Compliance.
• Knowledge of Canadian payments legislation and FINTRAC rules.
• Experience in Compliance and Compliance Operations roles.
• Must be a CA resident.
• Professional AML / MLRO certifications.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in USA AML compliance is a plus.
• Remote work experience is a plus.
