Since the launch of its 2016 Roadmap to Reduce U.S. Food Waste, ReFED has developed innovative tools and methodologies to track food waste and implement cost-effective solutions. The organization also launched the Insights Engine in 2021, an online data center that provides comprehensive data and guidance on food waste reduction. ReFED's mission is to create a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive food system that optimizes resource use and addresses food insecurity, impacting millions of Americans. The organization fosters a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture, emphasizing professional development and diverse perspectives.
