Overview

The Administrative Assistant provides essential support to the Leadership Team and organization by handling day-to-day administrative tasks that keep the organization running smoothly, ensuring efficient operations and helping the team focus on advancing the organization’s mission.

In Short

  • Provide administrative support to the Leadership Team, including scheduling and travel coordination.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and manage the organization’s general email inbox.
  • Maintain and update organizational databases and contact records.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating special events and fundraising activities.
  • Manage office supplies and ensure operational tools are utilized effectively.
  • Provide technology support and maintain records of technical assets.
  • Support basic financial tasks such as expense tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct desk research on various issues and prepare summary reports.
  • Assist with planning and tracking special projects for program teams.
  • Engage actively with the Operations Team to enhance organizational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a nonprofit.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Passion for service and collaborative work.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Commitment to ending food loss and waste.
