Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join Ready’s public sector revenue organization. In this role, you will take full ownership of the sales funnel — from territory planning and prospecting to solutioning, closing, and contracting — while helping shape Ready’s presence with government customers across broadband, transportation, water, electric, and other critical infrastructure sectors.

In Short

  • Own the entire sales process: prospecting, pitching, solutioning, closing, and contracting deals.
  • Build and manage detailed territory and account plans for top accounts in your territory.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to activate against account plans and move opportunities forward.
  • Connect customer needs to Ready’s capabilities.
  • Identify and progress opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Achieve and exceed bookings targets of $3M–$4M+ annually.
  • Execute territory planning to identify associations and partnerships.
  • Drive both hunting and farming motions.
  • Build trust-based relationships with government agencies.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and account documentation within our CRM system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of public sector sales experience in IT, SaaS, or infrastructure.
  • A proven hunter with a strong track record of quota attainment.
  • Experienced in building and executing detailed account plans.
  • Skilled in navigating public sector procurement.
  • Demonstrated success in territory planning.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Strategic and detail-oriented in pipeline management.
  • Comfortable working as an early sales hire in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms.
  • A solution-oriented mindset.
