Controller - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a talented Controller to support a growing and scaling organization in the IT services industry, overseeing core accounting functions and managing both domestic and offshore team members.

In Short

• Lead and develop accounting staff, including offshore resources.
• Oversee General Ledger integrity and month-end close process.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in a services-based model.
• Drive process improvements and modernize financial workflows.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support and maintain strong internal controls.
• Experience with ERP Systems, preferably Unanet.
• Strong process improvement mindset.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (Deltek, SAP preferably Unanet).
• Prior experience in leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of services-based accounting models.
• Proven experience managing offshore accounting resources.
• Deep knowledge of GL, AP, AR, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Experience supporting financial audits.
• Strong process improvement mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills.
