Director of Coding - Remote

Overview

As the Director of Coding at R1, you will ensure the successful functionality of the middle revenue cycle through client management and medical coding operations, while leveraging advanced technology and analytics.

In Short

• Lead and manage coding team performance and productivity.
• Conduct regular coding performance reviews to meet KPIs.
• Address complex coding workflow issues and lead project plans for resolution.
• Meet with clients to report on coding performance and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with service level agreements.
• Support ongoing coaching and development of the coding team.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Prepare client-facing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 20%.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Coding Certification through AHIMA or AAPC (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS).
• Experience in medical coding within a healthcare setting.
• Leadership experience in acute-care coding management.
• Ability to conduct team meetings and provide ongoing feedback.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
