Overview

Sentara Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide patient care tasks, administrative duties, and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

In Short

• Part-time position, Monday to Friday.
• Work hours from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Requires certification as a Medical Assistant or EMT.
• One year of clinical or administrative experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Provides patient care and administrative support.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or EMT required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
