In Short

  • Working independently primarily via video conference
  • Provides administrative support in a healthcare office environment
  • Answers calls and routes incoming correspondence
  • Requests and obtains patient records
  • Corresponds with outside providers
  • Maintains patient health records in EMR systems
  • Schedules visits for the clinical team
  • Assists with authorizations and communication with pharmacies
  • Coordinates transportation for patient appointments
  • Supports the smooth running of the office

Requirements

  • Current CMA/CCMA certificate
  • Relevant professional experience in healthcare
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive interpersonal and telephone skills
  • General computer skills and internet navigation
  • Passion and energy to handle complex situations
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • 18 months of clinical experience
  • 1+ years of insurance and billing experience
  • Certified Medical Assistant
