Overview

Sentara Urgent Care Little Creek is looking for a part-time Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient care and administrative support in a safe and efficient environment.

In Short

  • Part-time position, 20 hours per week.
  • Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
  • Provides patient care tasks and administrative duties.
  • Requires Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days from hire.
  • 1 year of clinical/administrative experience preferred.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Certification as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or EMT Basic.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • 1 year of clinical/administrative experience preferred.
  • Ability to assess situations and develop action plans.
  • Effective inter-departmental interactions.
  • Productive and efficient in daily operations.
  • Adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to patient safety and care.
  • Must be able to work in a tobacco-free environment.
