Overview

Sentara Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Member Outreach, focusing on providing excellent customer service and healthcare support remotely in Virginia.

In Short

  • Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours/week)
  • Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
  • Conduct daily calls (40 calls/day); 90% outbound, 10% inbound
  • Utilize EPIC, JIVA, and QNXT systems
  • Schedule member appointments for annual wellness visits
  • Update member charts and notes for primary care
  • Schedule telehealth appointments as necessary
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year of clinical/administrative experience required

Requirements

  • Certification as CCMA, CMA, RMA, or EMT-B required
  • Customer Service/Front Desk experience acceptable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Experience in managed care or healthcare preferred
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to participate in professional development
