Finance Manager - Remote

Overview

The Finance Manager role focuses on providing a variety of financial planning and analysis services to clients across Propeller’s portfolio of early-stage startup companies.

In Short

• Build and maintain detailed financial models for various business models.
• Develop business performance reporting and custom financial & operating KPI dashboards.
• Work with the accounting team to review monthly client financial performance.
• Perform monthly variance analysis focused on actuals vs. budgets vs. forecasts.
• Identify analytical and modeling projects to add value.
• Provide input and advice to clients based on scalable best practices.
• Identify strategic insights through data analysis.
• Assist clients in the fundraising process.
• Help train Propeller’s Financial Analyst team.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years in finance-focused roles.
• 2+ years in investment banking and/or consulting.
• 2+ years in FP&A and/or strategic finance at a tech or high-growth company.
• Superior financial modeling and presentation skills.
• Deep understanding of financial principles.
• Ability to build complex financial forecasts.
• Good communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Desire to teach others within the organization.
