Senior Product Counsel - Remote

In Short

• Partner closely with product management, engineering, design, product marketing, support, operations, and compliance teams.
• Serve as the primary legal advisor in product planning and strategy sessions.
• Advise on requirements affecting all stages of a product's life cycle.
• Support the sales cycle, including developing and managing options for company agreements.
• Serve as a liaison and issue spotter for other legal team members.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international laws and regulations.
• Analyze, structure, draft, and negotiate technology development and licensing agreements.
• Review, draft and advise on advertising and marketing materials.
• Conduct training for the legal team as well as internal teams.

Requirements

• Law degree from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant in-house experience.
• Prior product counseling experience is strongly preferred.
• Significant experience with intellectual property, licensing, privacy, and trade compliance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with product managers and engineers.
• Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a current understanding of best practices related to legal issues.
• Experience with HIPAA compliance is highly desired.
