Overview

Benchling is seeking a mission-driven, collaborative, and highly motivated individual to join as a Senior Product Counsel, providing legal guidance to engineering, product, design, and security teams.

In Short

• Provide legal guidance on product design, development, and operations.
• Develop legal processes and documentation for new initiatives.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar membership.
• 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience counseling engineers and product managers.
• Strong understanding of AI regulations and open-source issues.
• Familiarity with global privacy frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Entrepreneurial and pragmatic business-oriented advice.

• Interest in biotech or life sciences is a plus.
