Overview

We’re looking for a Counsel, Public Sector (SLED)​, to join Procore’s fast-growing Go-to-Market Legal (“GTML”) team within the Legal, Regulatory & Compliance (“LRC”) Department. In this role, you’ll negotiate complex transactions with State, Local, Education, and Healthcare customers and provide broad commercial support to the public sector teams in Procore’s Sales organization. To succeed in this role, you'll need to show up as a leader, collaborator, project manager, and self-starter able to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.

In Short

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and SaaS sales agreements.
  • Provide practical, commercial advice to Sales executives and internal stakeholders.
  • Help shape business and legal terms and deal structures.
  • Develop and maintain essential tools for the GTML function.
  • Partner with outside counsel as needed.
  • Deliver training and education to Sales and Customer Success organizations.
  • Stay informed on local and federal regulations and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of SaaS transactional commercial legal experience.
  • JD from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
  • Experience with public sector procurement and contract laws.
  • Extensive experience with commercial and SaaS agreements.
  • Strong command of data privacy and security agreements.
  • Ability to manage multiple client demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • High EQ and impeccable professional ethics.
