Manager, Flow Cytometry Data Analysis - Remote

Overview

The Manager, Data Science will use their scientific expertise to lead flow cytometry data analysis for ongoing assay development, validation, and sample testing projects. As a team leader with direct reports, the person will train and mentor staff to ensure scientific rigor and use their expertise to guide data analysis and troubleshooting. The person will also engage with the Flow Cytometry laboratory science and Translation Data Sciences teams to ensure process efficiency and timely, quality-driven data reporting.

In Short

• Independently analyze, QC, and present flow cytometry data.
• Troubleshoot issues during panel development or clinical sample testing.
• Assist with writing and/or editing SOPs, validation protocols, and reports.
• Provide scientific leadership for flow cytometry data scientists.
• Drive collaborative interactions with other technical teams.
• Lead continuous process improvement for high-quality output.
• Manage timelines for flow cytometry data analysis.
• Assist with writing and reviewing contract and grant applications.
• May present completed work at scientific meetings and publications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or relevant field with 8 years of flow cytometry data analysis experience.
• At least 2 years prior management experience.
• Solid understanding of GxP or CAP/CLIA/ISO standards.
• Expert-level flow cytometry data analysis for multi-color data sets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong computational skills, preferably with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, and FlowJo.
• Excellent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend English.
