The Director of Risk and Compliance (DRC) oversees all aspects of risk management and compliance for Planned Parenthood of Michigan (PPMI), ensuring the organization operates within legal and regulatory frameworks while upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.

In Short

  • Lead the development and oversight of compliance and risk management strategy.
  • Serve as HIPAA Privacy Officer and oversee compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage incident reviews.
  • Oversee Risk and Policy Committees and manage AIMS processes.
  • Monitor billing practices for compliance.
  • Design and lead compliance training programs.
  • Serve as liaison to regulatory agencies during audits.
  • Prepare reports for the Board of Directors and stakeholders.
  • Supervise the Risk & Compliance Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in compliance or risk management.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in healthcare or regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience with accreditation processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance software.
  • Strong ethical judgment and discretion.
