• Join the Programs and System Engineering group as a Senior Payload System Engineer.
• Work on the Tanager program to drive greenhouse gas emission reductions.
• Engage in hardware, software, and product development.
• Support multi-organizational System Engineering efforts.
• Collaborate with external partners for advanced imaging expertise.
• Lead payload requirements from inception to implementation.
• Act as the interface between payload design and image pipelines.
• Implement verification and validation plans for the payload system.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in imaging payloads or telescopes.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.
• Experience with multispectral or hyperspectral imaging systems.
• Familiarity with program lifecycle stages of imaging hardware.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with large cloud-based datasets.
• BS/MS in EE, CS, AA or relevant field.
