The Sales Engineer - Enterprise position at Plaid focuses on leveraging technical expertise to empower prospects during the pre-sales process and drive revenue outcomes.

In Short

  • Serve as the technical lead for Enterprise accounts throughout the sales process.
  • Partner with Account Executives to demonstrate Plaid's solutions to prospects.
  • Engage with technical stakeholders to drive alignment and buy-in.
  • Provide demonstrations and handle RFP responses efficiently.
  • Take a hands-on role in POCs to identify and rectify performance issues.
  • Re-evaluate selling assets for effective messaging.
  • Translate prospect feedback into product insights.
  • Collaborate with the SE team to enhance team knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of customer-facing experience selling to enterprises.
  • Strong sense of customer empathy.
  • Combination of business experience, sales skills, and technical acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and complex concepts.
  • Knowledge of web services, APIs, and standards like HTTP and REST.
  • Understanding of mobile and web application architecture.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience in Payments, Fraud, and/or Credit is a plus.
