Senior Counsel, Compliance Investigation - Remote

Overview

The Senior Counsel, Compliance Investigations will play a pivotal role in promoting Pinterest’s strong culture of compliance and ethics, owning the development and improvement of the internal compliance investigations program.

In Short

• Own the compliance investigations process, including conducting and managing all aspects of compliance investigations.
• Draft investigation plans, conduct interviews, and complete analysis and investigation reports.
• Advise on and make recommendations for investigation outcomes and follow-up actions.
• Develop and enhance investigation-related procedures and trainings.
• Spot trends and themes, including root causes and disciplinary results.
• Prepare updates on investigations for internal stakeholders.
• Establish and promote enterprise-wide best practices for investigations.
• Engage with stakeholders on compliance and disclosure matters.
• Provide counsel on legal and regulatory issues related to investigations.
• Assist with other compliance and special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Minimum 5 years of experience at a top law firm and/or in-house legal and compliance department.
• Experience conducting complex and sensitive investigations for 5-8 years.
• Must be admitted to the bar of at least one state.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years experience in employment law preferred.
• Experience building compliance programs preferred.
• Strong understanding of effective compliance programs for global companies preferred.
