Quality Engineer (MySQL) - Remote

Overview

Percona takes pride in delivering stable and reliable software to our users. We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our MySQL team. In this role, you’ll support our distributed engineering team by maintaining and improving the quality of our software products—both as part of the release process and through continuous improvement.

In Short

• Contribute to the DevOps and release management lifecycle, coordinating, testing, and managing releases.
• Evaluate and improve Percona products and new features based on the test plan.
• Monitor and analyze/log failures of automated regression and performance tests.
• Enhance Percona's automation testing systems and infrastructure.
• Research and recommend tools for improving test processes.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Shell or Python for automation.

Requirements

• Solid debugging skills and experience in analyzing log files.
• Good knowledge of test methods in agile software development.
• Familiarity with established test tools and automation methods.
• Experience with development tracking tools (JIRA, Notion, git).
• Solid Linux sysadmin skills.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD).
• Good communication skills in English.
• Quick learner and team player.
