Overview

As a Platform Engineer (Data) at EcoTrove, you will own and maintain data pipelines, ensuring the integration of energy company portals and public databases while working closely with the co-founder and CTO.

In Short

• Build and maintain reliable API pipelines to energy company portals.
• Design end-to-end encryption workflows for customer credentials.
• Architect secure data storage in Google Cloud Platform.
• Define schemas and ingestion pipelines for high-volume telemetry.
• Develop production-grade services in Python and TypeScript.
• Implement CI/CD and automated testing standards.
• Document architecture and mentor other engineers.
• Shape EcoTrove’s core technology as the company scales.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the U.S. utilities market.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with data pipelines or payment systems.
• Expertise in Python and familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Deep experience with GCP services like Cloud SQL and BigQuery.
• Strong security mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL schema design.
• Knowledge of microservices and containerization technologies.
• Ability to communicate and document processes clearly.
