IT Operations Analyst - Contractor - Remote

In Short

• Respond to system alerts and determine the impact and severity of issues.
• Address basic support issues from end users, such as password resets and VPN issues.
• Conduct regular monitoring of alert channels for networks and systems.
• Generate and manage tickets based on monitoring results.
• Collaborate with the overnight NOC team for ticket handoff.
• Perform after-hours system maintenance activities.
• Identify and document recurring issues to improve performance.
• Work independently and manage priorities and tasks.
• Utilize Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools.
• Create and troubleshoot basic scripts.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Understanding of RMM tool functions.
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar ticketing systems.
• Ability to perform basic server and network maintenance tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
• Ability to create and modify patch policies in RMM tools.
• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
