Overview

As a Legal Counsel at PayDo, you will leverage your expertise in international financial regulations to ensure the company's operations adhere to all relevant legal standards.

In Short

• Drive financial licensing processes in the EU, UK, and other regions.
• Maintain and open correspondent and operational bank account(s).
• Handle complex legal requests and RFIs from banks and authorities.
• Stay updated on financial regulations including AML and KYC.
• Update compliance programs as per regulatory requirements.
• Manage regulatory reporting and audits.
• Oversee company governance policies and updates.
• Lead licensing processes for expansion into new regions.
• Draft various legal agreements.
• Serve as liaison with local law firms and regulators.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Counsel in regulated companies.
• Understanding of international corporate law and EU licensing principles.
• Experience in enhancing company compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Experience with international bank accounts and regulators.
• Proficient in drafting agreements.
• Experience with audits and corporate bank accounts.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Master's degree in law.
