Senior AML & Risk Analyst - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior AML & Risk Analyst to join our Compliance & Risk Management team at Paramount Commerce, a leading fintech company focused on simplifying payments in Canada. This role plays a critical part in developing and maintaining a robust AML/ATF transaction-monitoring system to ensure compliance with regulations.

In Short

• Develop and optimize AML/ATF transaction-monitoring and anti-fraud controls.
• Define and refine quantitative thresholds for fraud detection.
• Analyze fraud patterns and enhance risk controls.
• Develop analytical tools for detecting ML/TF and fraud typologies.
• Support model development for AML/ATF compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering and vendor teams for monitoring frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian and global AML/ATF regulations.
• Maintain documentation for audit readiness.
• Prepare performance analyses for compliance reporting.

Requirements

• 3+ years in Financial Crimes Compliance or payment risk management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analytics frameworks.
• Experience with AML/ATF transaction monitoring controls.
• Understanding of AML/ATF regulations.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
