Overview

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) plays a pivotal role in advancing Oxfam's people and culture strategies by serving as a strategic advisor and collaborative partner to one of the organization’s core business units.

In Short

  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for union-related matters.
  • Serve as a management official on the collective bargaining negotiating team.
  • Develop and deliver training for managers and staff on labor relations best practices.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with applicable laws.
  • Lead workplace investigations, including harassment and discrimination allegations.
  • Partner with leadership to translate organizational goals into HR initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics and trends for decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of equity and justice within HR practices.
  • Support talent retention and high-performing teams.
  • Engage in continuous learning to enhance HR practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 7-10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a specialized area.
  • Expertise in labor relations and unionized environments.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to manage complex employee relations with sound judgment.
  • Commitment to equity and anti-racism values.
