Overview

The Campaigns Department at Oxfam challenges US policymakers in government and the private sector to better address inequality and we are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Intern. Campaign interns gain experience in public campaigning, organizing, research, and advocacy on a wide range of issues from supporting workers and fighting to rein in corporate power, to addressing climate change by ending the era of fossil fuels, to demanding a last ceasefire in Gaza and more!

In Short

  • Provide research support and capacity to Campaign Leads and Organizing Advisors on campaign issues and tactics.
  • Provide administrative support for campaign meetings.
  • Provide technical and logistical support for Campaigns’ webinars and trainings.
  • Support the management and recruitment efforts of the Sisters on the Planet Ambassadors program.
  • Support the Oxfam Action Network for an Equal Future.
  • Assist with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) initiatives.
  • Maintain Campaigns’ Box folders and share information as needed.
  • Provide other administrative and project support to the Campaigns Department staff.

Requirements

  • The intern should have or be pursuing an undergraduate degree or higher, or have comparable work experience.
  • Strong organizational, writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Previous administrative and research experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Zoom and Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Interest in furthering knowledge about Oxfam and global social justice issues.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a quick learner, and a team player.
